2 out of 5 stars Huh?   December 4, 2008
Not sure what I didn't like the most - the bathroom "humor" - what was that all about? Huh?? or the Jennifer Hudson addition - could have lost that entire character. So Carrie has these treasured friends but finds "the answer" about love with somebody she has known for a minute? And then gives her this tacky handbag as a measure of her self worth . . . oh please! I would rather watched more of Mario Cantone and Willie Garson - they were in the movie mere seconds. This could have been done SO much better and really I expected it to be from SJP.

I like doing business with Amazon.com because it is a reliable source. They also offer reasonable prices. In fact, this DVD cost me nothing because I opened an Amazon credit card account and they credited my account with $30. Since the DVD, including the shipping cost, came to less than that amount, I ended up paying nothing. I will be shopping at theis site regularly.

I enjoyed this movie it much more than I was expecting. The clothes were plentiful and cool and of course they pushed in more by having Carrie have a little fashion show in her apartment and a Wedding dress bonanza. Thankfully, we didn't get that much husband/boyfriend time with the girls, other than Miranda and Steve who were fighting so that made it more interesting. I was a Big fan for a while and while I still don't hate him, I don't know if his fans will love him that much after this movie. He pulled something rediculous that I don't know I can truly forgive him for.

Longer than it needed to be, but I still still enjoyed it nevertheless.

4 out of 5 stars Attn: Basic cable viewers   November 29, 2008
I liked this movie, but I had never seen it on HBO so I didn't know how much sex there really was in the city. If you like the series on basic cable and you're an adult, go for it, but be prepared for some soft core porn.

1 out of 5 stars Bummer in the City   November 29, 2008
Having enjoyed the television series, I was afraid, from all the hype, that the movie would be a big disappointment. Well, I couldn't have been more right. The thing that makes the TV series work is that the friendship among the women is stronger than anything else; all the superficial stuff is just icing. In the movie, the strongest thing is the massive assault of designer label product placement; it's all superficial stuff and nothing else. It's like one long, annoying commercial. And by the way, the movie is all Carrie all the time; Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha -- far more interesting characters -- have almost nothing to do. The men are beyond an afterthought. The movie is also bizarrely, gratuitously crass. I almost walked out of the theatre. Beyond a dud, this movie is offensive to human intelligence. I hear they're making another.... yikes.
